This is a recently completed drawing that I have put on an envelope. My intent is give this along with a note to someone I have great respect for who just might want a little pep talk one day.
Another “Blast from the Past”. Wow, this one is from 2002!! This is watercolor pencil and fine-line marker. At least some of the leaves were from my back yard, as were the little maple “helicopter” seed pods.
I am lucky enough to have a small bedroom that has become my Room of Creativity. I have several of my pieces on the walls. This is one of them. It is one of my larger pieces, being 18 by 24 inches. It started out from a smaller sketch David Neel had posted on Facebook. So I did. Y own freehand, colonized version which you see here.
This is a water color pencil rendition of one of my wife’s cowboy boots, bought second-hand. It is a blast from the past, being almost four years old now. One thing that may be worth pointing out is that there are plenty of flaws in this painting. It it too short, for starters. The main point is that a painting doesn’t have to be perfect in order to appreciate it, even a little one like this. If I waited for perfection I would have nothing to post and share.
